Costs vary widely by school and denomination. Rough ranges per credit hour and total program:
- Associate in Biblical Studies: $300–$550 / credit • ~$20,000–$35,000 total
- Bachelor's in Theology / Bible: $400–$1,200 / credit • ~$50,000–$140,000 total
- Master of Divinity (MDiv): $500–$900 / credit • ~$45,000–$80,000 total (72–90 credits)
- MA in Theology / MTS: $500–$900 / credit • ~$30,000–$55,000 total (48–60 credits)
- Doctor of Ministry (DMin): $600–$1,000 / credit • ~$25,000–$40,000 total
- PhD / ThD in Theology: typically fully funded at top research programs; unfunded programs can exceed $80,000.
